Portrait Redo

Me. I figured that since we felt super awkward taking this photo, it was ok for me to look just as awkward. Plus, I used the vignette to add to the Christmas surroundings.

Some random person at my house on Halloween. I told him to just act normal so I could take a photo and this is what I got out of him.

For the original portraits, I used my other cousin. His brother found out and was jealous so it seemed only fair to use this one for the redo. There was a lot of nonsense in the background, so I attempted to play with the shadows and such to try and get the focus to be on him.

Portraits

My little cousin Beau after his football game. He isn't too happy because they tied.
Self-portrait... because the best place to find me would be in the library.  The lighting was pretty bad in this photo.
As much as I'd like to, I don't personally know Crosby. I like this photo because everything but him is extremely blurry, although he is also out of focus.

landcape photos

My first attempt at a panoramic photo. I like how off-center this photo seems because of the trees mostly to the left. It shows the majority of the South Side, which has been home to me for about two years; not to mention how gray the sky was in the city that day (compared to the other photos).  If you look closely, you can tell that the left portion of the photo is much more out of focus than the right side and the colors aren't quite as bright.
This was obviously taken at a Pirate game. The shadows on the buildings as the sun is setting just look neat. There is a lot going on in the photo I think, also. You can see the field, bleachers, the buildings downtown and the sky.
I took this photo on campus. I like that it shows how beautiful the sky was that day and that you can see the shadows close to me because I'm under a tree, not to mention the fact that Mellon Arena and the Consol Center are both visible.

first assignment - 100 images

This is a photo I took outside of my house in our courtyard. I like it because it is true to life. There aren't too many houses on the South Side where you can find a large yard like we have, and that is one of my favorite things about my house.
This photo should have been of the same scene as I have in the following picture, but it was taken in the "fireworks" setting on my camera and it is just awful!
This photo is one that I altered in lightroom. For some strange reason, the people at this house painted their fence blue and I have never figured out why. I thought it would be interesting to bring out the blue in this picture to show that the fence just doesn't fit it's surroundings at all.
